Pop Music

All of us have heard a song on the radio and hated it up first listen, but after awhile.....we hear it several times....... it grows on us.........and suddenly....WE LOVE IT!!!

For example:  The first time I heard Lady Gaga's "Bad Romance," I thought it was the dumbest song ever. All I could think was; these lyrics are awful!! This person needs to stop making music! However, every time I got in the car, it was on. It began to infect my brain. Soon, I found myself humming it as I walked. I found myself singing along when it was on the radio. Pretty soon, I owned it, knew all the words, and regularly sang it on karaoke night. It is in fact stuck in my head at right now.

Tell me about a time that something like that has happened to you. Mention why you first disliked it, what finally caused you to like it, and how you feel about it now.

  1. Well a new bernie song came out, and it was called, "Bernie lean". Bernie Lean was made by the orignal creators, but then they changed the music and the words. Connor Vancrete showed Logan and I the song, and we thought it was kinda stupid. But then, Logan kept on playing it over and over agian, and I thught it was really cool when I saw it on youtube. I still do like "Mov'n like Bernie" a little bit better than bernie lean. Ms. Chetto, we should look at the video on youtube.

  2. The first time I listened to "Somebody That I Used To Know" I thought it was a pretty stupid song. It was on the radio all the time. It was catchy but annoying. Like Friday. I still think it's pretty stupid. But you know what's not stupid? All the parodies on that song. Well maybe they are stupid too, But they are the funniest things ever. There is nothing that could possibly beat them and they just keep getting funnier and funnier each time you watch them. I can't even explain the level of amazing on those things. But now you're probably wondering how do I feel about the original? I still don't like it. Rather listen to Don't Touch Me Tomato. That has always been a great song. So yea never really liked Gotye's song but the parodies are always better than the original. Sometime I hear the parody before I hear the original song. So that's it.

  4. The first time I heard "If I Was Your Boyfriend" by Justin Beiber I thought it was really really lame. I thought it was lame because it was Justin Bieber trying to rap, then singing. Then when ever I got into the car I would hear it on the radio and then I would change the station, until one day I was too lazy. Then it got stuck in my head. When this happened I realized that if you like the song it tends to not get stuck in your head. In conclusion I have decided to learn to like the songs and then I don't get them stuck in my head. Now I don't like it but I don't mind it. The lesson is to learn to kind of like a song then it won't get stuck in your head and you won't get mad. Also can somebody call Carly Ray Jepson and tell her that we are sick of "Call Me Maybe"?

  7. I was driving my car when Bob Sanders threw a pebble through the window and almost killed me (the pebble knocked me unconscious but I was still driving so I unfortunately drove off a thirty foot jump and landed on a gas tank). There for I too am not physically able to post the DQ.

  8. Well it would have to be call me maybe. The first time I heard that song I thought it was the dumbest song. There were so many bad lyrics or high piched notes. Her voice was so anoing. She always says so call me maybe. She also has such anoing lyrics I thought. Then I realized that the song was not so bad and started singing the parts I knew. After a few times hearing it in the car I started to now more and more to the song. Then i started to put it all together and now I can sing almost the hole song. So if I listen to it a cople more times I will know the hole song and be able to sing to every part. I will have to play that song when I am done because it is now stuck in my head.

  9. The time that happend to me well that was a very unpleasant and I don't like to talk about it. No I'm just kidding I really don't think this has ever happend to me let me think oh yes now I can remember a time it was a long time ago call me maybe that was the song. The first time I heard call me maybe I hated it so much that I just about punched the car radio and then after hearing it about twenty times a day I got it stuck in my head which doesn't mean I liked the song it was just stuck in my head. After about a week I was just a bout to hang myself and then Finaly they stopped playing it for a little while and I still had it stuck in my head so I was really mad about that and now the memory is fairly blank but I can still sing almost the whole song. If I could have one which it would be that that song wasn't created then my life would me almost complete but unfortunately that wish will never come true which is very sad. But in a few years I won't even remember it. Call me maybe.
