Keeping in mind that the purpose of school is education......do you think Minecraft should be allowed in school? Why or why not?

  1. MINECRAFT IS THE BEST GAME EVER TAKE AWAY MINECRAFT ITS A GAME THAT TEACHES YOU HOW TO BUILD THINGS AND SURVIVE AGAINST ZOMBIES, SPIDERS AND SOME LITTLE EXPLODING THING. NO TAKING AWAY MINECRAFT ITS A FREEDOM THAT WE ALL DESERVE TO PLAY IT WHEN WERE BORED OR WHEN WE HAVE NOTHING ELSE TO DO AND TRY TO MAKE PEOPLE JEALOUS OF WHAT YOU BUILD AND HOW QUICK YOU BUILT IT OR HOW IMPRESSIVE IT IS. SO IF YOU TAKE AWAY MINECRAFT ALL KIDS WILL DO IS PLAY POINTLESS KILLING GAMES LIKE ALL THE KIDS WHO HAVE NO LIFE AND ONLY PLAY CALL OF DUTY BLACK OPS 2 OR MODERN WARFARE 3. SO KEEP MINECRAFT FOR THE BETTER PART OF KIDS AROUND THE WORLD.

  2. Minecraft is a really fun game. It is very educational because all you do is build and explore the world. It should be that you can use it in Tech Ed. The math class could use lots of the software for the class because you can count the blocks. There are many shapes too. You can have slabs and 2 of them are 1 normal block. So it is fractions! It is easy to use and you can have it on more then one computer. Minecraft has cows that you can milk and pigs to get meat from. Tech Ed is a class for building thing but yet they buy this other software that cost like a thousands of dollars or even more! Minecraft can cost $25.99 and you can use it for a whole class. You can learn a lot from Minecraft because it teaches you how to build and how to design things like buildings. You can use lots of different kinds of wood and rocks. That's about Minecraft and why to use it in school.

  3. I think mine craft is educational....... Speaking which, I played mine craft today while being sick. Well anyways, Minecraft teaches us kids a way to architecture. You use your mind to design things, and craft it using your fingers, with in a tiny screen. Well, this should be allowed in school I'm which would give us things to talk about in school. Cough, cough, cough, sorry, I needed to to that.... Well back to Super, Awesome, amazing, fantastic, topic about minecraft. I talked to Mrs. Allen, THE PRINCIPAL !!!! about letting me have minecraft on Ms. Kim's iPad. She said it would be educational, and would allow it. Score!!!

  4. Yes, of course Minecraft should be in schools. It is educational and fun! Fighting Zombies can improve your combat skills. Killing creepers will test your abilities to defuse a bomb. Also like Joe said, we can use it in Tech-Ed. We could design a house in class, then build it in Minecraft. We could use it in English and make a house out of bookshelf's for no reason or we could have to do other tasks like Collect 64 Wood, or get 5 Gun Powder, Build a Cool house, Craft a Bucket, Build a Portal, find 10 Iron, kill another player loot their chests and burn their houses down. See? There are endless possibilities that we could could do for assignments. Also, if you go on youtube and search minecraft for schools there are other schools that do this. Also when you look at the video they have a town and it looks really ugly. Dirt houses and everything. God do I hate dirt. Anyway, I think we should have two towns or districts. District 1 will be called MerFalaise.
This is where all the pretty modern houses will be. Absolutely no dirt houses. District 2 will be called Ville Paysanne. This will be your free build area. Dirt houses, whatever. The only problem is it's going to be a long walk from MerFalaise. And finally, District 3. This district will be named Bella Terra. This will be the plaza, the fun place with all the fun kind of stores and fun. The fountains and Restaurants and bushes and bowling and everything. It will be located right next to MerFalaise. So that pretty much wraps everything up and we should definitely have Minecraft in school. Good Bye!

  5. I do think that MINECRAFT should be allowed in school because there is nothing about it that is not school appropriate. Well I guess zombies and other stuff are a little inappropriate. But the graphics on it are the worst ever. They just look like they painted someone green. The graphics are bad and all that’s fun on MINECRAFT is to make houses. I think that teachers should like it because its helps you be more creative. So I don’t even know why all the teachers hate it. It may not teach anything but you can actually do school projects on MINECRAFT. You can make rough ideas to see what you want to do in like tech-ed and science. Make it on MINECRAFT and then see if you can build in real life. When you do it on MINECRAFT just make sure you have a sturdy base, and have it well supported.

  6. Why wouldn't Minecraft be allowed? I know pretty much everyone has said this, but Minecraft is a fun game where you can build whatever you want to. Any building you can think of. You use your mind a lot thinking of how you will build a certain building, and how you will protect yourself from zombies. There are so many blocks to make your building it can look however you want it too. It's not like Minecraft is bad and shouldn't be allowed. There is nothing bad about Minecraft. All you do is protect yourself and build huge and awesome buildings. There is unlimited land, so can search for the blocks you need and mine them. You can also dig into the ground. There are huge underground caves that you can find. There is lava and water that you can pick up in a bucket and dump it somewhere else. There is so many ways you can build your buildings and protect yourself from zombies. Like Cody S said it also helps people be way more creative. Why wouldn't Minecraft be allowed?

  8. Minecraft should not be aloud in school. Yeah it is fun and you get to build stuff...kill zombies...Oh who am I kidding I am just trying to be a good student I love Minecraft and every single computer in the county except for Randolph because we all know how much we love them (sarcasm). I mean come on who doesn't like battling zombies and making death pits to trap them. Not to mention building huge mansions with awesome accessories in it. Minecraft is kind of like Sims but with bad graphics and way more simpler to understand. But do you want to know the best thing about Minecraft? No teachers or anybody to tell you what you can and can not do! That part of Minecraft is especially awesome. So what if Minecraft is not educational, wait a minute, in a way it kind of is because if you make a pyramid it is like you are in Egypt. Also if you make the twin tower you can act like you were the guy that re-built them and that you go down in history. So ha take that anti-fun teachers.

  9. Do I think Minecraft should be allowed in school? Probably not because it is very distracting to students. It has also been banned for a reason so it can't be good. I don't know how in any way that it is educational but the fact of the mater is that I don't think it should. Finally I have to say Minecraft is awesome but it is not for school. It's just too distracting.
