Agree or Disagree

Write a paragraph  in which you strongly and clearly AGREE OR DISAGREE (but NOT both!) with ONE of the following:
  • Fads never really go out of style
  • Life in the 2013 will be better than ever
  • People are happier than they used to be
  • Americans are too concerned with material goods
  • You can tell a lot about people by what they eat
  • You can tell a lot about people by what they read
  • The Internet is the best thing to ever happen to education

  2. I don't agree with any of these because none of these things are true. There not true because you would think that it would have already happened by now.

    1. If the internet wasn't invented how would you go on PSN or x-box live?

  4. I Agree with is because Of the bottom one. We couldn't use are Google Drive or even E-mail. It would be a waste of paper because we couldn't use a computer. We can use iPad's in school that is awesome. I think there is no class that I could even go to because they all have computers to put the attendance in or check if we are sick. Charter would be gone for sure. I couldn't even do this DQ because it wouldn't be here. So yes it is very helpful and I agree with this.

  6. I agree that the internet is the best thing that has happened to education and school. We can do a lot of things on the internet, like discussion questions, posters, finding pictures, looking stuff up, and finding answers to questions. I think that the internet is good for education because you can find out stuff from 100's of years ago, and you can find out stuff that has happened just minutes ago. You can also do homework and learn things for school. For example, we can look at our homework if we forgot what it was on mchettoteaches.us, wich is a website that Ms. Chetto made for her students in her classes to use.

  7. I think I will have to disagree with "Life in 2013 will be better than ever." I decided this because we do not know, there is no way for us to know if it will of won't. As far as we know life could be a disaster, we could we disagree on something and war will break out. A am mainly disagreeing with the WILL part of that statement. That word is ensuring us that it is going to be better and there is no chance otherwise. But whatever happens what is considered to be "better", is it more technology, is it better laws what is it. If you didn't choose this one what do you think about it?

    1. I agree with you. Using the word "will" implies that there is no other option, and how would anyone know that?

  8. I am doing life in 2013 will be better then ever and I agree. Why do I agree? well I agree with this quite frankly just cause I hope it will be I don't actually know if it will be better than ever but I really hope it will be because then I can kind of say that I guessed it but I won' t necessarily be better for all even if it is better for me. But I hope 2013 is better for all and my guess will not fail me you watch.

  9. I disagree with the one that says, you can tell a lot about someone by what they read. You really cannot tell much about someone by what they read. If someone read nonfiction books, it wouldn't mean that all they do is research, or that they are a nerd. You can't tell much about people by what they read, other than maybe they like to read those kinds of books. Even then it doesn't mean those are the only kind of books that they read. Basically, you cannot tell barely anything about people by what they read.

By the way I did post this yesterday, clicked publish, but it didn't even post.

    1. I agree with you. I read basically anything I can find; fiction, non fiction, crime, sports, computer manuals....I've even read medical texts when I was bored and that was all I could find! However, if someone only read one type of book, you could probably tell a lot about them.

  10. Okay I disagree because food does not tell a lot about a person because when you see a fat person eating a pear you do not think that they are healthy your automatic reaction is thinking that they are unhealthy and lazy. This goes along with the whole fashion thing because take a look around you do not see anybody in baggy pants unless we traveled back in time and went to the 90's but in these days people do not like baggy pants. Now days it is the exact opposite people want their pants tight.

  11. I think that the internet was the best thing that has even happened to education. To learn you used to have to go the library to find information about something that you had to research. Now you literally have soooo much information at your finger tips, and it doesn't take as long to get you reassures. Another reason why the internet was the best invention is because it gets us organized and we can use things like Google drive to keep all of our homework so we don’t have to waste as much paper. We still use paper today but we don’t use as much as we used to. That’s why I think internet for education was the best answer to me.
