Online Breakups

(This graph shows the number of breakups throughout the year according to Facebook. Examine the graph and write one paragraph of relationship advice based on your observations. If you can not see the graph, ask Ms. Chetto for a print out).

  2. Ok since my first paragraph wasn't eligible enough for it. Well avoid being in a relationship during the spring break and during the 2 weeks before Christmas so they can try and meet more people and explore their choices. Try and be in a relationship in the month of February and the ending of the summer. Try and date some one who goes to your school cause youll see them everyday and have a good relationship and you will know if their cheating or not.

  3. OK you should stay away from relationships During spring break and 2 weeks before Christmas. I was surprised that there was a high break up percentage all through out the year. This here is why you should stay away from relationships because you never have any idea when you are going to break up and if you have a relationship, you should stay away from them around Christmas and spring break because that is the highest break up times of the year. I think that you would be better to not have a relationship because you will end up breaking up with them.

  4. The highest is by Christmas and between Valentines day and April Fools day. It would make since because people are cheat now these day's and that is the time of the year when you need to buy a ton of stuff. People are also really nice at Christmas time but some are not. People get really stressed out at holiday's or birthdays. It get really expensive sometimes too.

  5. Well this graph really does say a lot. It tells me that before a holiday or some nig event they break up. I think they break up because they are too lazy to get them anything for the special event such as Christmas. The one that I thought was pretty funny is on April fools day. Around that day you can see that it is very low. That because they are all waiting for April fools day. I kind of wonder if when you break up with them if they think you are serious or not. That would be hilarious if the next day they ask if you could hang out because she/him thought is was just a joke.

  6. Well it seems like the peeks are usually at or right before important days or holidays no that doesn't make that much sense because why break up in a happy time. It just doesn't makes sense. So my advice is break up on a bad day like Monday or just any normal day. If you are going to breakup make sure it is on a bad day that way it can't really get much worse. Also then you aren't ruining a good happy day or holiday.

    1. I agree with you. I would never break up on a good day or a holiday.

  7. Ugggg. I just finished my DQ then my iPad died so here goes round two. First you could just stay with your boyfriend or girlfriend during spring break, which seams to be the highest point in the break ups. Or and nothing against Facebook but you could evade the entire situation and not use Facebook and make the person actually break up to your face. If you do have Facebook you can relax for the most part on Christmas. The only reason that they would break up with you on Facebook is that they probably didn't want to be with your family. Also if they are breaking up with you, you have probably made some questionable choices. So just don't date unless you are serious.

  8. Looking at the graph, I noticed that the most breakups are 2 weeks before Christmas and during spring break. I would recommend breaking up with your girlfriend/boyfriend during spring break or 2 weeks before Christmas if you can tell that they don't even like you. If you are afraid that your girlfriend/boyfriend may break up with you and spring break is coming or it is 2 weeks before Christmas, I would get them something that they want. If you want t break up with your girlfriend/boyfriend, break up with them on spring break or 2 weeks before Christmas. Well, that really doesn't matter.

  9. Why break up with your GF or BF during spring break, when you can do fun things during that week. I know it's their choice, but why on spring break? It's the most wonderful time of the year! NO SCHOOL! I also see people break up 2 weeks before Christmas, because they didn't like the gift that was given to them. "Socks?" "I break up with you" (That escalated quickly) But I can't beleive facebook would make a graph to represent breakups on facebook.

  10. I actually think that for teens the online break ups can be harsh but useful aha. They can be useful because a lot of teens don't always have the courage to break up with the girl/boy friend in person so the modern day technology is a good source for teens. Also I think the technology helps because the man does not want to see the person they are dating cry so that makes usually the mans way of ending the relationship. One thing that I was surprised about the graph was the Summer Break break ups. I think a lot of break ups would happen there because kids realize the one main reason was that they could see each other but it was forced because it was at school and most teens don't want to go and ask to their parents to drive them to their lovers house and since they don't see each other that much anymore it will usually lead to a break up.
