Money for Memories

What if memories could be used as money??

Would a house cost five years of memories?
What memories would you be willing to spend?
What years of memories would you never use?

  1. I would get rid of my bad memories to buy that house. A few are like being b@#@!* by my mom or something (thought you should know why I'm in this school). I would get rid of the bad times like living in the underworld (not really). Not good memories never good. Another bad memory I would use is when I was $@#@!@# to buy the house. Not all my memories are bad, though I have a lot of good memories that I would never spend.

    1. I would also use my bad memories to buy things. Nice job by the way.

  2. I would like to use the good memories if I had but the ones that were bad would have to go first. I would have to decide what good memories would go for the house and how big is the house. Does it have 2 stories or 1. If it is small how many memories would it take for a big house like a mansion.

  3. I think that memories should be worth money because then no won would say they don't have money. That way they can have any house they want and it can be any size and shape the bigger the house the more memories it costs. A two story house should cost 10 memories and after that if there are more stories it should go up by 2 memories every story. I would be willing to spend no memories at all because they are mine. I would use any Years of memories that i can remember. if you were to buy a house how many memories would you give.

  4. I personally would use the memories from when was almost killed by a kid off of his meds. I also would spend the memories from the bed and depressing times. If a house was worth five years of memories then you would probably the homeless because in every year there is at least one good memory that is worth keeping. Plus what would somebody do with all of your memories and you don't remember your entire year you only remember a few seconds and to have five years would really add up to be like the memories from ten different years. So yeah I would not be happy and when I was sad I would have no happy memories to look back on. If I was sad I could just buy something to get rid of the memories, but the bad thing would be that you wouldn't know why you bought the things in the first place.

    3. I think Austen has a very good point. I would probably be homeless too because I can't think of a single year of my life that I would be willing to part with.

  5. I will give up something that is really something that is in my brain but I have to think really hard to find that memory. So to make that happen I will probably give up the first 5 years of my life because I barely remember those any ways so when I buy the house I wouldn't have to give up the memories I treasure the most. There is also another way to do this. I can just forget the day I was married so technically I will forget all the years I was married too. So you would have to be reminded of your wife ever again.

    1. Very good point, Cody. I actually hadn't thought about that when I posted this question, but getting rid of memories would have "the butterfly effect," so you would never really know how much you spent. Very insightful!

  6. Like a lot of people said, I would spend all of my bad memories to buy the things that I wanted. A house for five years would seem like a little much, thought I maybe would use the first couple years of my life. I would never use any of my really good memories or even any of my good memories. A car would cost about a year or half a year, a TV would cost about a month, and a house would cost a couple of years. Old people would be pretty rich, because they have tons of memories that they could spend. Kids would not have as many memories to spend though. If you were buying things with memory, who were you buying them from? Could you sell your house for memories?

  7. I agree with Wyatt here but first off, I GOT AN IPOD TOUCH 5 FITH GENERATION 16 GB!!!! ok now that's out, I can do my DQ. I agree with Wyatt here too, because why would you want bad memories forever? But the hard part is, you could have been on a vacation and something bad happned, you would erase your memory from the vavcation. But what I would really do is look back at the memories, and decided what is best for me.

  8. That would be good and bad. For many different reasons I mean it would be good in a scince that you could get rid of all of your bad memories and only be left with good ones. Then you could stop selling memories and use real money again. But it would be bad if you had to sell good and bad memories because then you would lose a lot of good valuable memories and that would be really bad. But if you use my good method then this could be a very good thing for most all people and that would be cool.

  9. I would never erase any of my memories period. All memories are so special and priceless why would anybody want to get rid of them unless of course you had a bad experience with a future prisoner if you know what I mean. This is all I can say is that there is no other way to put this into 40 more words unless I were to procrastinate and do run on sentences that would not have anything to do with this discussion question.

  10. I would never give up memories for money, would you rather have things that last for a little bit until they break or have memories that last forever. Im pretty sure youd rather have something that last forever and you can always remember it.
