Group Work

"G-R-O-U-P-W-O-R-K does not spell Collaboration."

Explain what this quote means to you and why.

  1. This means no one does the work and only one person does it. It says one guy does 99% of the work, at least he's not doing the whole thing. And it also said it's in every single group project, this is what happens.

  2. To me this means that when it seems a some people are doing group work, really just one person is doing most of it. It may seem as though everyone is doing their share of the work, but a lot of the time its just one person doing the things needed. Collaboration would be like everyone doing what the are supposed to do, and everyone doing their fair share. Group work can be this, but sometimes it is not. I think that if some people would try a little harder, all group work could be everyone doing what they were supposed to do.

  3. To be it means that some people work better than others. Some people help and do more on the project. there are a lot of things that it could mean But to me it means that some do more work. I think that in are class we all work about the same. I think that It means that some people are lazier. it means that some people are more interested. It also shows me that some people take control of the project and don't want other people to help in the project. That is what that means to me. The end.

  4. Well I have to say that this is completely true and that this is what happens all the time in group projects when the teachers pick the groups. To me most all group recipes are recipes for disaster. Anyways but what I think this means is that groups never work well together. Even though they are groups and our supposed to work well together they never really end up doing so. That is what I think.

  5. On group projects it usually means that everyone has to work like a group but in most cases, it means that one person does all the work and the other people in the group basically do nothing and screw around the whole time. I don’t really like it when I am in a group and people don’t play their role. It makes me man and also makes more work on me and less on them. Usually I don’t like ground projects because I am usually covering for someone who doesn’t do their part.

  6. This means to me that just because your in a group does not always mean you are working. Most of the time you might work but in this case it most likely means that you aren't working even though you are in a group. This could also mean that just because you are in a group that is suppose to be good and work together usually means that you aren't getting along.

  7. I have had this happen to me before and I have been the guy that has no clue or the guy that does everything. It seems that I'm the guy who does everything. It was a science project and we were making a poster about animals and I did a bear and a zebra. I did EVERYTHING the two other just pick there noice the hole time.

  8. Group work means one man doing a project for a couple of other people then let them claim the credit and call it a group effort. Yea, this has probably happened to everyone some time and If I had to name one of the types up there I'm most likely one of the two middle ones. Every once in a while I do 99% of the work. Usually a strong 30% though. The only times someone doesn't know what's going is If they've been gone for the first couple days or you're like Zach yelling at his computer because he doesn't know his Drive password...
