Pretend your class is putting together a time capsule (no, not an Apple time capsule). It might not be opened by anyone for 100 years or more. This time capsule will tell people in the future what life on earth was like in 2013. You can choose one thing to go inside. Explain what you will choose and why.
I would bring in an apple device, or maybe a car. But I would probably take the Apple device, because I want to show them how the i phone 5 worked or the Mac computer worked. I think the people would not be that much amazed, because we are not going to be floating in the air, were not going to have this transportation in the future. Because people in the 1800's thought we would be ding all of that floating stuff now. But I would probably bring a piece of grass.

DeleteI would put a picture or maybe an apple device with pictures and videos of what life is like in the 20th centrey . I would put a picture of green lake and what the cars looked like and then they can compare what there cars looked like. I would also put a pare of pants and a t-shirt. I would also put some little toys and stuff like that. Also you should put your name and a note telling them what you are doing and when it can be opened that should also be put on the outside so that if some one picks it up they now not to open. That is what i would do if we were going to put out a capsule.

DeleteI would put in my series of Naruto in there because I've watched them all so much I'm sick of them. I probably would put my series of bleach in there also because of the same reason. I would like to put minecraft in there but it is not possible because it is digital. NO not my PlayStation 3 never that ever chetto never.

ReplyDeleteI would make a collage of photos and news clippings of recent and current events. I would use pictures of the president, Newtown, the war in Afghanistan and Iraq and maybe some pictures of music performers and movies. I chose this because I think it would be cool to find pictures and news clippings from 100 years ago. This will also give them a good idea on what was happening at this time. I would also put this is the year 3150 on the back just to confuse them, it would also say that we had sent it back in time, not to save it and rebury it. What would you choose?

DeleteI personally would not put technology in there because then if here is armageddon or people survive long enough to open it, it will be useless to them. Open your mind and expand your thoughts, what would you want from 100 years ago, what we think is useless now, like a soda bottle could be worth something, you never know they could invent a substitute for plastic bottles tomorrow.

DeleteI kind of agree with Austen on this one. What would a really old electronic do for people in 100 years. By then they will most likely have something way better, and then they could care less about some old phone or computer. I really am not sure of what to put in the box though. Maybe something that we are running out of on earth, that way when they open the box, it would be the only supply of that item left on the earth. I would like to put something that they wouldn't use anymore, other than an electronic device. It really is hard to guess though, because I really have no idea what they will have built or designed in the future. Like almost everyone else said, I would probably put a picture in. I think they would enjoy to see us, back in 2013, and compare to them, 100+ years later.
ReplyDeleteI think we should freak them out by sending Photoshop pictures and like write in there saying this what 2012 did to us and like make a video that will freak them out. This might make them cry but maybe they should have thought of that before they trusted me and Jake in the first place. But here is the kicker we write in the time capsule after they get done reading all the stuff we leave a sealed envelope so they open it last then inside it will say,"JK!". The best part is we will get the teachers in on it somehow so the students believe in 2012

ReplyDeleteI kind of agree with Sam we should trick the people of the future and tell them that 2013 was horribly and there was a zombie Apocalypse. Then we could put in like a book telling about the Apocalypse and maybe even a fake video. Then the people like along time from now would be like all freaked out and would like prepare for another one and then there would never be one and ten if we were still alive due to advances in medical science we could laugh and make fun of them for actually believing something so stupid like that.
ReplyDeleteI too like the idea of making them think that there was a terrible apocalypse and that we are the only survivors on the planet. That they are all decedents of a hybrid alien race that invaded earth on December 21, 2012. We could make this entire thing really big too like getting a bunch of people people doing different things. I know people above me have already said that kind of stuff but I'm just going into my own detail. We could have a couple people doing like a journal kind of thing and saying that everything you have ever learned about 2012 is a lie and that none of you, are really humans at all. What you are about read is the truth. The horrific day where billions of people were killed and not a single trace was left, but us. If you are reading this, you must tell others about the real story! Everyone must know what they did to us, and to you. You are all decedents of an alien hybrid race. It started as a top secret project in the Ural Mountains Between Russia and the United States of America. The project was called Project Vita. It was our first attempt of making our first contact with another alien race. On December 11th we finally made contact. They told us that they were sent to help us, and that our planet was was kept the universe balanced. They told us we were in danger, but never what we were in danger from. The news was still not released into the media yet though. It was still a secret until the 18th of December, three days before they arrived. The whole world was in joy that day. Schools were closed early, workers were sent home, the whole world was watching that day. The whole world staring at the sky on December 21st, 2012. At 1:39 the first sighting was reported in Berlin, Germeny. Everybody yelled and pointed at the sky. Confetti was thrown in the air and banners were dropped over buildings. The whole world was celebrating as the object sped across the Atlantic and landed in Washington D.C. They paused for moment before the came out. I was watching it from the news when I saw the first life form walk from the door. It said something I could not quite understand, but whatever it said was not good. Hundreds of them poured out from the doors. Shooting massacring everyone there. The entire city was exterminated and taken within hours. Everyone was killed including the president. Suddenly thousands of ships started descending from the sky and within a week, the entire world was nothing but an abandon maze of wrecked buildings and fires. They had left, but hey were going to be coming back. Coming back and rebuilding this planet, Starting from scratch. A new race, a clean start, a colonized civilization part of their new race. To them you are nothing but an experiment, but to me you are an opportunity. Go and tell people of this story, make sure everyone knows about what they did to us, and what they did to you...
ReplyDeleteThen after that we take an envelope and seal it and stick it in the back of the journal log thing and put lots of pictures and stories to go with them. This would be the greatest prank on the future. I think this might even be worthy of a hoax. Yea, I like that. This is right up there with war of the worlds. Well anyways It's 9:28 so I think I'm done with this. I think this could be by DQ too. So good night I guess and... Bye!
